About GreenAir News

Launched in November 2007, GreenAir is a long-established online publication dedicated to publishing independent, informative and up-to-the-minute news, features and analysis on current issues surrounding aviation and its impact on climate change and the environment. It has no association with industry, environmental groups or government bodies and so is able to present opinions from all sides of this debate without fear or favour. We take an objective journalistic approach where news and views can be given a single platform.

Its international readership is made up of sustainability professionals working in the aviation industry (airlines, airports & ATM) and the many stakeholders supporting the decarbonisation and reduction of the climate and environmental impact of aviation. These include consultancies, government & regulatory bodies, fuel companies, the carbon markets, NGOs, etc.

GreenAir covers a broad spectrum of relevant subject areas, such as:

GreenAir’s coverage includes:
News – Current news from around the world. We have built up an archive of news stories since 2007.
Features & Commentaries – Feature and op-ed articles contributed by respected journalists and leaders in their field.
Events – Listings of relevant conferences, meetings, trade fairs, etc.

GreenAir Newsletter

The newsletter is sent out ten times a year (monthly with Jan/Feb and July/Aug combined) to around 4,000 subscribers from around the world. It includes introductions to articles posted during the previous month, details of forthcoming events and other information.

Social Media

GreenAir has a regular presence on LinkedIn and also a Telegram channel.

Readership statistics

We do not publish readership or engagement statistics on either the website or newsletter. As a niche and unique publication, comparing us to other media would be meaningless. Since we have been in existence for 17 years, and for most of that time being the only publication focused entirely on sustainable aviation, we have built up a loyal international following with a strong reputation as the leading source of information and news coverage in this particular area. We ask potential advertisers to accept the principle of quality over quantity when it comes to readership.

Aviation Carbon

GreenAir is the co-organiser of the annual Aviation Carbon conference, which first started in 2012, making it the longest-running event covering sustainable aviation. It continues to grow year by year, attracting delegates from around the world, with speakers including leading experts and policymakers. Past Sponsors include blue-chip organisations such as Airbus, Boeing, Air bp, Vitol and many others from the carbon markets, SAF suppliers, consultancies, etc. Most of the Partners to the event are associations representing airlines, carbon markets, SAF stakeholders, NGOs, etc.
